Passaic Valley Hospice, a division of Visiting Health Services of N.J., Inc. provides caring, professional and comprehensive services to patients in the final phase of any terminal illness.  The goal of care is to allow patients to live comfortably and with dignity at home until the time of death.  We offer patients and their loved ones a compassionate alternative to hospitalization.

Care can be provided in the home or in a nursing home.  Provisions for acute care hospitalization are arranged whenever necessary.

An interdisciplinary team is dedicated to promoting the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of every patient and their loved ones.  The hospice team includes:

Physician, Social Worker, Professional Nurse, Volunteer, Therapist, Pastoral Care, Hospice Aide, Dietician 

Passaic Valley Hospice also provides Bereavement services to families and loved ones for up to 13 months following the death of the patient. We also conduct bereavement support groups on a regular basis. Passaic Valley Hospice gives the patient and the family/caregivers the necessary support and compassion so that they will not feel alone.  The hospice team of caregivers is always just a phone call away, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Above all, you and your loved ones will be treated with high quality care, sensitivity and professionalism throughout this difficult time.

Pain and grief come in many forms, so we take a unique approach to caring with a coordinated, medically directed team of nurses, home health aides, social workers, therapists, nutritionists, volunteers and clergy.  Since 1980, Passaic Valley Hospice has cared for thousands of patients throughout Passaic County and its surrounding areas.
